Fairfield County Tax Records    Pickaway County Tax Records    Miller DNA test

This site is dedicated to the Miller families of Bloom Township, Fairfield County Ohio.  My gggg-grandfather William Miller (b. 1787 in Pennsylvania) purchased land in 1818 in the NW Quarter of Section 14, Bloom Twp, Fairfield County, Ohio along with his brother-in-law Hugh Sloan.    They were there in the 1820 census.   By 1830 William Miller moved a few miles west to Madison Twp, Pickaway County, Ohio, living with William Teagarden / Teegarden in Section 23.   In 1836 the family moved to Sugar Creek Twp., Allen County, Ohio.

I've been compiling church, cemetery, will, estate, probate, tax, census, and land records in the Fairfield County and Pickaway County in the hopes of correctly identifying the various Miller living there at the time.   In the end, I hope to find my William Miller in Pennsylvania, as to date, I don't know where in Pennsylvania the family came from.

Here are some of the other Millers who lived in early Bloom Township and Greenfield Township (circa 1810):
(I think they are all related as they appear on each other's land and church records)

1. Abraham Miller  wife Elizabeth

2. Daniel Miller (b. abt. 1785) wife Catherine

3. John Miller wife Catherine (there are other John's who may have been there at the time or they may all be one John)

4. Henry Miller (b. abt. 1780) wife Mary Wagner (daughter of Daniel and Mag. Wagner)

5. Conrad Miller (b. bef. 1775 in PA) wife Hannah Ricely (b. MD)

6. Peter Miller (b. 1798 in PA) wife Catherine Wagner (daughter of Adam and Molly Wagner (note: their son Michael marr. Eliz. Miller daughter of Peter Miller, granddaughter of George Miller and Susanna Alspach))

7. Peter Miller (b. 1784) wife Elizabeth Klein

All of the above Miller's seem to be closely related to the Wagner and Alspach families in the area.
